Simon Says...The Great Outdoors

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog...thank you for joining us for last week's challenge...we hope you can join us this week too because...

and the theme for this week is...
THE GREAT OUTDOORS
think trees, deep blue skies, fields of flowers and stunning landscapes.

The Design Team are showcasing PaperArtsy products this week, you don't have to use them to join in the fun but if you have them we would love to see how you use them.
And we are welcoming a new Guest Designer for the month of May,,, the fabulous and very talented Dr Sonia aka Cards, Crafts, Kids Projects ...pop over to her blog, you are in for a real treat.

The great outdoors for me means spending time out in my garden or long walks in the forest with my Furry Companion and I decided to make a card for a special friend who also loves the great outdoors and has a birthday coming up soon.
I sprinkled Limoncello and A Bit Jaded Infusions randomly on to one of my favourite PaperArtsy/Eclectica stencils PS001 from the Lin Brown Collection and spritzed with water...
laid it on to a piece of thick card I had already cut to size and pressed lightly giving the Infusions time to soak into the card...
I then sprinkled Limoncello Infusions on to the circle icon stamp from ELB34...spritzed with water and stamped on to the card.
Once the Infusions were dry. I pounced a mixture of  PaperArtsy Dusty Teal and Snowflake Fresco Finish chalk paints through Stencil PS 044
I stamped the sentiment from ELB31 with Black Archival Ink on to the card using The Misti, reinked the stamp with Versamark and heat embossed with Ranger Clear Embossing Powder.

I stamped the square icons from ELB31 twice with Black Archival moving the stamp slightly to the left on the second stamping to create a shadow effect.  I stamped the Distressed Dots with Versmark Ink and heat embossed with Ranger White Embossing Powder.
And I couldn't NOT use a little bit of Tim Holtz so I coloured a piece of Tim Holtz Plain Tissue Wrap with Infusions Limoncello and Sunset Beach and fixed to a piece of copy paper with Distress Collage Medium Matte...
and die cut using Sizzix/Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Die. I repeated with Infusions A Bit Jaded...stamped the leaf image from ELB31 with Black Archival...heat embossed with Ranger Clear Embossing Powder and cut out.
I added splatters of PaperArtsy Snowflake and Little Black Dress Fresco Finish Chalk Paints...a large pearl brad from my stash to the centre of the large flower...smaller brads to the centres of the stencilled flowers and stamped circles around them using Little Black Dress and a paint bottle cap.

You can find all the products I used over at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp online store...just click on the links below...
