Simon Says...Handmade Flowers...

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog...thank you for joining us for last week's "Make Your Own Background" challenge...we hope you can join us this week too because...

and the theme for this week is...
HANDMADE FLOWERS

I started off by applying Ranger Texture Paste Transparent Matte through the Roses Layering Stencil...I used Transparent instead of the Opague White because the texture was going to be coloured anyway...
I then applied a wash of Walnut Stain Distress Oxide ink to the canvas using a baby wipe, coloured the textured areas with Worn Lipstick and Peeled Paint Distress Oxides using a blending tool and then went over with more colour using the Fine Detailer Waterbrush.  Once the backgound was dry I applied Walnut Stain Distress Oxide with a blending tool going over the textured area which muted the colours slightly and spritzed with water to create that beautiful oxidised water droplet look...
I used Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Slate and Stone inked with Walnut Stain Distress Oxide to create some interest on the background...
and added Cheesecloth and Design Tape from the Butterfly set...
I die cut the Frameworks Trellis from Sizzix Mat board and overstamped with Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Birch and Pine inked with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide...

I coloured a piece of white card with Peeled Paint Distress Oxide using the direct to paper technique...spritzed with water...overstamped with Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Plaid and Nordic using the same ink to create a tone on tone effect and die cut using Garden Greens...
I then coloured a strip of Idea-ology Plain Tissue Wrap in the same way using Walnut Stain and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxides and die cut 4 layers of the largest daisy using Sizzix/Tim Holtz Small Tattered Florals and cut the two smaller sizes of daisy from black and white card...
and fixed everything in place with Ranger Multi Medium Matte...
I added Paper Dolls coloured with Walnut Stain and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxides and Quote Chips...
a butterfly from Botanical Layers...
and Typography letters coloured with Black Soot Distress Paint...
